Saturday......

Breakfast, pumpkin pancakes (some with choco chips), laundry started, dishwasher unloaded, loaded, Chicken in the crock-pot, about a dozen episodes of Madeline, one pop up card constructed, books picked up, toys picked up, done.

Saturday morning, Poppet spent the night last night. I am tired.

Life can seem complicated sometimes. Complicated often leads to disappointment. So it seems to make sense so more simple. Simple methods, uncomplicated ideas, may lead to more satisfaction. No big changes small simple ones.

Reheated pizza.
Like.....left over pizza. Dinner last night was pizza, homemade, from dough in my dough box, whipped up sauce and grated mozzarella cheese. I wonder should I out line the whole thing or just get to my point. Ok,  I can do all of it.

Dough in the dough box. I mix up bread dough that sits in the fridge in the dough box. I follow what ever recipe strikes my fancy in this book. Check it out, if you love home baked bread but think it takes a long weekend to make it, this book will change your life. Anyway dough that has been in the fridge just past a week works well for pizza because it is not over puffy. So see simple, dig the last of the dough out of the box, crust.

Pizza sauce whizzed in the mix chop. If you follow me on Pinterest  you will find this sauce on my eat and drink board. The recipe is from a blog, all recipes come from blogs these days don't they.  I used to buy pizza sauce use  one third of it put the rest in the fridge until it got moldy and then threw it out. Then I went to sliced tomato instead of sauce but you have to have tomatoes on had for this. Pizza just needs to be a pantry thing because, well, most of my meals need to be that way for budget friendly reasons. So here goes that sauce in a nut shell. Canned tomato, garlic, dried oregano, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and sugar. All in the mini-chop and wiz. It is a raw sauce but it cooks on the pizza.

What is left? Toppings of your choice. I vary toppings all depending on what my mood it. Last night was just cheese because that is what the Poppet likes best. She calls it "Nice pizza".

Back to today. I had leftover pizza for lunch which brings me to reheating pizza. An internet search of best ways to reheat pizza delivers a bunch of ideas, and techniques for reheating pizza. What works best for me is, simple, there it is,  a non stick skillet on the stove top. It keeps the bottom crispy and warms so the cheese is not dried out. Just set the temp to med and lay the slice in the pan. If you are impatient you can pop a lid on it to trap the heat.
